Summary
This site only publishes pages. You cannot sign up, log in, comment or message us here, so we hold almost no personal information about you, and we sell none of it.
The premium checker
The checker works inside your browser. The bar size and the price you enter are processed on your own device; they are not transmitted to us or recorded anywhere.
The Augusta Precious Metals links
A button reading GET THE FREE INFO KIT opens a page run by Augusta Precious Metals. The link carries a short
identifier (sub_id=buygoldbarsfrombank, or buygoldbarsfrombankpopup when the button is in
the exit popup) that tells Augusta which of our pages sent you, so it can credit us. Using the link costs you
nothing. Once you are on Augusta's page, Augusta's own privacy policy applies to whatever you type there or it
collects. Our disclosure explains how we are paid.
Bank and agency links
Our tables and guides point to banks' own pages and to public bodies such as the CFTC and the FDIC so you can read the source yourself. Each of those sites follows its own privacy policy.
Fonts
The two typefaces we use, Inter and Playfair Display, are stored with the site's files. Reading a page does not contact any font provider.
Hosting and server logs
Vercel hosts the site. As with most hosts, it records routine server logs such as IP address, requested page and browser type, for security and operations. Vercel's policy governs those logs.
How prices update
Each page is rebuilt with fresh prices from the sources named on the about page. While a page is open, your browser may ask gold-api.com for a new spot quote roughly once a minute; that request contains only what any web request contains.
The exit pop-up
The pop-up appears at most once per visit. Your browser stores a small marker for the current tab to remember that, and it vanishes when you close the tab.
Analytics and cookies
None at present: the site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes we will say so on this page, and we will ask first wherever the law requires consent.
Your rights
People in California and in the EU or UK have legal rights over personal data held about them. Since this site holds no accounts or messages, there is almost nothing to look up, correct or erase.
Children
We write for adults and do not aim the site at anyone younger than 13.
Changes to this policy
If the policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
